Trip planning that started as my own backpacking spreadsheet
Pack Planner started as a spreadsheet I made to track my gear and plan my backpacking trips. Later I built an app on top of it to make entering and organizing gear and food easier. I still use it for every trip I take. Camp Planner does the same job for car camping and family trips.
Both are free, with no ads, and they don't sell or share your data.

Both apps are in beta. You can try either one now with the demo, which has sample trips and doesn't need an account. To plan your own trips, ask for an invite from the app's start screen.
Every piece of gear has a weight. Pick what's coming on a trip and the base weight and pack weight update as you go. Plan your food day by day and it adds up the calories and the water you'll need. For trips in the next ten days you get the forecast; further out, it shows typical weather from NOAA's 30-year averages.

Camp Planner
For car and family camping
Made for a weekend at a campground with the family. It keeps the site details in one place, like check-in time, quiet hours, and whether there's water and power at the site. It counts clothes for each person from the number of nights, warns you when the tent or the first aid kit isn't on the list, and turns your meal plan into a shopping list sorted by aisle.
